The Empathic Facilitator.png

The Empathic Facilitator is a two-day training for anyone who leads groups and wants to develop the skills to lead a profound change process. The training builds the capacity of practitioners in four core competency areas: self-awareness, group attunement, co-intentionality, and shared leadership.

While this is not a routinized method of facilitation with a set curriculum, it is an adaptive methodology that can be used in a range of settings and applied to any context. You will learn to facilitate a process that is:

  • grounded

  • engaged

  • responsive to the needs of your group

  • supportive

  • transparent

Who is the training for?

We’ve trained nearly two hundred practitioners working in a diverse range of fields including social work, criminal justice, education, change management, law, and private business. Our global network of alumni includes emerging to master level practitioners.

Everyone can learn from this approach. It’s amazing to see law enforcement, organizers, social workers, and tech folks all benefit from this experience.

A Practical Learning Experience

Over two full days, we explore four experiential modules through theory, practice, and reflection. The modules are designed to build on each other, deepening the experience with each section completed.

This training was very impactful for me. It allowed me to learn by doing.”
— Kristina Singelton, Empathic Facilitator Alumn

This training provides ample opportunity for participants to reflect on their own practice, work through challenges together, and consider ways to integrate new strategies and practices into their work
